I am doing a birthday cake for a little boy, theme sonic hedgehog, is there any tutorial video on how to make sonic out of rct, gumpaste or fundant. If not would appreciate any advise or ideas.

This is a good one if you are looking for a 3d ish sort of cake

I'm guessing you'd just do a round cake depending on how many servings you want then carve the face shape, build up the spikes either with rct or fondant, add gumpaste/fondant details for the facial details. Jobs a good'un!

Or you can go the other route..

Carve the general shape and add fondant details.

Or this way

using a cake topper.

Depends what look you're going for and the simplicity you want in the cake.

You can pm the decorator of these cakes and ask for instructions once you choose which technique you want to use.

This is sonic made with rkt.
