i'm slightly confused.. forgive me here...
the term 'newbie', does this imply that you are new into the profession or new to cc.
because i may be a 'newbie', but i do have experience, just dont have the time to post 24/7, so I'm pretty silent on the forum...

Hi sillymoo84!
Newbie in the box under your screen name stays newbie till you reach a certain amount of posts, then it changes to regular member, then after another certain amount of posts, you get a different title. I joined in 05 but rarely posted, so was a newbie for a very long time! Newbie stated in a persons post means whomever posted, is referring to themselves as not as experienced as others. Like me! ![]()
Yup, "newbie" certainly does not denote experience or ability level here on CC...of course you can be both a newbie to baking and/or decorating AND a newbie to CC but I've found that mostly it's home cooks who have been doing what we, in our family, call "Sunday Cakes" for a long time...are the "Aunt who makes the cakes" (or Uncle..there are a lot of guys on here too)...the one everyone says, hey, you should be in business! What I think is great here is that even if you've been in business for awhile, even if you have a storefront, there are still things to learn on here. I'm about to go ask a question right now and pray someone has the answer<G>
