A one layer 10" square with a mini wonder mold (for a hula girl) on top= 30 servings? I think it will, but just needed some reassurance before I start baking. I would think since a two layer 10"cake yields 50 servings, then a one layer would yield half. Am I wrong with this kind of thinking? TIA

You are right on with your thinking. You should cover the guest count just fine.
