Hi Everyone! I am stuck on a rose birthday cake... I have a birthday for next Sunday and the birthday girl loves roses. So I'm going to make gumpaste roses, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on a rose cake that isn't too "weddingish"? I was thinking something fun, but everything is think of is super elegant and that's not the direction I wanted to go.

Any thoughts / ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

How about basketweave on the sides and the top covered in buttercream roses?

Why not do all the roses in fun non traditional rose colors? Or how about several roses in each color of the rainbow and arrange them so that it is a rainbowish theme! That would be cute fun and A BUNCH of roses!

Do you do gumpaste roses? If so, what about a bouquet?
Or even a rose cupcake bouquet - very easy to make!
