Help With Carved Shrek Head!!!!

I need help as to how to make this cake look more like Shrek! It was my first carving job and it would have been better if it was covered in fondant but alas the person who ordered it did not want it covered in fondant... only fondant accents! Any help/advice would be appreciated!
