Hello!

I am working on a birthday cake for a competition and I am putting gp roses on in it.

I thought about making them sparkly with red disco dust to add some pizazz. Anyone seen photos of this? Does it work?

What would you use to attach the disco to the dried gumpaste?

TIA!

I use pearl fondant glaze with a little red gel added. I would paint the flower and sprinkle with disco dust. This is how I attached the disco dust to the stars, hearts and rainbow on the My little pony cake works great.

When coloring the gel only add a tiny bit. A little goes a long way with pearl glaze.

I ended up just spraying the roses with vodka.... and dumping disco on them. turned out great!

I did use the glaze for touch ups! worked great icon_smile.gif
