Hello everyone.

I got a wonderful waffle machine but the mix taste like cardboard.

I know my buddies at CC can give me an excellent waffle recipe from scratch!!!

hmm...I don't get too complicated with my scratch pancakes/waffles, since I found Trader Joes multi grain waffle mix. OMG that stuff is incredible...

I use this recipe except I increase the sugar (2 TBS for half the recipe). Also, for a very light a fluffy waffle, beat your egg whites to a stiff peak then slowly incoprated into the batter. This makes a HUGE difference.

I use Bisquick, but I add 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.

We love the box Belguim Waffle mix from a brand called Krusties. Yummy!

Our family loves this :
2 eggs
1/3 c oil
2 1/4c buttermilk
2 tsp vanilla
Sift below & then add:
2 1/4 c AP flour
4 tsp baking powder
2 TBsp sugar
pinch of salt

If need more liquid add buttermilk TB sp at a time at the end.
We make ganache, creme chantilly, & carmel sauce to add on top w/fresh berries/bananas...
Have fun!

If you like sourdough and have the time these are our favorites and well worth the effort! I mill my own flour and use all whole wheat and they're wonderful!
