Hello Cake central friends... I have spend hours apon hours reading forums preparing myself for this up coming cake and the time has come to start buying my supplies to get this cake going.. I decided that sps support system is what I'm going to use for my support it is going to be a four tier cake 12, 10, 8, 6 inch round tiers all 4Inches tall. My question is how much fondant would I use to cover them I am going to buy stain ice but dont know if I should buy the 20 pound bucket any feed back would be appreciated. Also what kind of boared should I use as a base? so I can be sure when I pick it up it will be stable and the boared wont bend hope that makes sence... icon_smile.gif Thank you so much

This reply might actually be too late. You need about 8 pounds of fondant according to the wilton chart. For the board you can use plywood cut at a 14 or 16" diameter.
