Printer Problems

I have the canon mp560 and installed the new cartridges, etc. But it says in the manual that the lights are supposed to light up and they don't. It says to align the head and i did and nothing prints out!, Please help!!

Hi:
Make sure that you have removed the silver tabs from the bottom around the cartridge and then to the top. If you have, it should start printing just fine.
