HI CC'ers! I was just wondering if anyone has made a filling w/ fresh fruit (For example the strawberry sleeve filling in the recipes section) here and filled the cake with it and froze it after?
This filling is "gel-like" but does have the fresh fruit. The cake is due this weekend and I wanted to bake it and make the filling tonight, put it all together and crumb coat then freeze it. Do you guys think that would be ok?
I have done this method, using this strawberry sleeve filling, raspberry, etc. mine was fine. i didn,t mix it with my buttercream. just used the filling between the dam. hth
