How Do I Get The Real Leather Look On My Cakes?

My purse cakes just don't look real. How can I get the handles and details to look like patent leather?

Brush on a mixture of gum arabic and water. You can get it from GSA like three bucks.

I used a piece of pleather fabric (like an impression mat). for mbongo drums. Then dusted with brown petal dust for worn look. check the reminant bin!

Thanks. U can also steam fonsant to make it shiny. If u dont have a garment steamer, just use an iron on the steam setting. U can also jusy brush the handles with vodka if thar is the only parts u want shiny.
