Click on "Custom Shapes" in the top right of your screen. You now have the option to import your own svgs, trace an image (looks like a silhouette), or import an svg from the MTC website. If you have an image you want to make into an SVG, use the Trace feature.

Or, you can click the button that looks like a wheel (next to save) and hit "Pixel Trace". Sorry, I just updated mine and realized that button was there
