We have a black & decker one but it sucks (to be totally honest). I don't mind investing in a good one.

Recommendations?

KitchenAid ProLine Waffle Baker. We've had one for a while now & love it. It's expensive but worth it, IMHO.

I just spent 30 minutes digging the sticky crap out of my cheap waffle iron!! I honestly would like a Belgian waffle iron, but they are expensive.

I always overfill or underfill and it's a nightmare either way...I'll check out those links. Thanks, this post is convenient today.

Bunnywigglesworth just reminded me that I forgot to mention that the one I have makes the Belgian waffles, not the regular.

I give up...I'm making pancakes and just cutting them into squares and gluing them back together with syrup. Problem solved!
