I have a sheet cake i need to make for this weekend and it will be my first. I usually make tiered cakes and this is going to be the biggest cake I have made. I am not exactly sure what route to take. Do I bake square cakes then put them together? Or is it better to bake in something else? I would love any help! Thanks!

Yes, you might need to put them together, but you didn't mention how many servings you need, so maybe not. If you need about 100 servings, you probably couldn't bake in something else because that size pan would most likely be too large to fit in your oven.

You might like to read a Wilton cake serving chart to figure out what size pans you'll need to use to achieve the nearest serving goal desired, or post more specific information here if you'd like more advice from others that could offer suggestions.
