Can I Use Candy Melts For Modeling Paste...?

My aunt gave me about 10 Lbs of candy melts, she has been watching The little chocolatiers ! But I am not into candy making yet, I still have so much to learn about cake decorating, since I've only been doing this for 5 months . anyways I was wondering if I can use it to make any type of modeling paste, I have about 5 different colors.

yes - melt and add 1.5 ounces corn syrup to every 6 oz candy melts - knead until most of the oil is worked out then wrap in plastic wrap and sit overnight - keep in airtight container and trim away any outer 'skin' before use
