I figured out where the pattern came from (if anyone is still following this thread!). It is from a stationery designer called Alannah Rose. This cake is designed after wedding stationery called Hollywood nights. The designer gave this particular bakery rights to copy the stationery onto cake. This leads me to conclude that both the stripes and the damasky-scroll are edible images. They're just too perfect to be anything else. I found the stationery online here:

The question is could I find any place that might print me an edible image?
