Does anyone know if I can use the plastic diamond pattern on cakes frosted with SMBC? I've used it on crusting buttercream but not sure if it will work on any other type of frosting (ganache?). Thanks
Actually, I just tried this and it didn't work too well for me. However, my icing layer was not as thick or even as I would have liked. Therefore, it pulled away icing in some spots. The good thing about the SMBC is that you can just resmooth it if it doesn't work.
