I Need To Make A Railroad Cake For My Dads 75Th Birthday

Do you want a 3D engine, or something else railroad related? I'm thinking besides the obvious "picture of a train station" you could decorate a sheet cake to look like a route map or a collage of tickets or RR crossing signs and gates and things like that?

I think it's the more muted colors that take it out of the realm of Thomas. Although I once saw a photo of the actual steam engine on which Thomas is based and wow, is it bright blue.
