Does anyone know how to make a cosmos flower? I checked out Rylan's tutorial list but that's not on it. I also did a search on the forums and came up blank. Any and all help would be appreciated - thanks
Did you want to make them out of gumpaste or bc? Cosmos petals are similar to daisies - the centers are different.
And the tips are somewhat squared off and serrated slightly. You can use a fine dresden tool to etch some light parallel lines from tip to center to give them a more realistic look. Go on-line to some garden catalog sites, in fact just google cosmos flower images and you can get some good ideas. Incidentally, I prefer gum paste for realism.
I took Jennifer Dontz's AWESOME 6-flower "Poupourri of Posies" class which included several flowers, including the cosmos. She sells the cutters on her website, and she'll help you with directions if you purchase from her. Here's the class description:

I don't remember her username, but here's her website:

The Cosmos cutters are in the "cutters" section. She always says just to send her an email with questions, and she would be happy to answer them! She's really great with instruction!
