I am decorating a cake Saturday for my class (class I). I'm excited!!
Tomorrow I'm going to be at the lake all day tomorrow afternoon and it needs to be iced smooth so waiting until Saturday morning is not an option. Should I bake it today and freeze it or is it close enough to Saturday that I wouldn't need to freeze it just crumb coat it and smooth coat it Sat morning?
Any suggestions are welcomed!

I am not an expert, but for me, doing the crumb coat works best when the cake is a bit frozen. I usually freeze mine for a night, then fill and crumb coat. HTH
