this may be a stupid question but can i use cheese cake pans to bake reg, cakes i need a 9" pan and rather to go buy one i have a 9" cheese cake pan

I've never had any problems using my springform pan to bake regular cakes. I personally like to make a parchment paper collar as well when i use the springform.

I did it all the time before I bought 2nd (and now 3rd and 4th) pans of each size. Have fun!
