I have a request to make a cake for a "newly found" family member. The client wants a sheet cake but also wants writing. The problem is what do you write for such and occasion. She has asked me for suggestions, but I am not sure what would be appropriate. I thought of suggesting decorating only and no writing. What do you guys think.
maybe "so glad we found you" or "welcome to the family"......hmmm this one is stumping me. good luck!
I agree - "welcome to the family" and/or "welcome home" with the person's name sounds great.
I like "Welcome Home" with the family members name ![]()
I like the idea of "Welcome to the Family Tree"
How creative are you?
A miner panning for gold with a big piece of gold in the pan saying "YOU" or their name in gold.
A field of clover with someone picking the only four leaf clover and saying something like "We finally found you."
Comedy, someone looking behind a couch and saying "there you are."
Or a "Where's Waldo" type theme with all little heads and an arrow pointing to one that looks like the family member.
Or a puzzle with an offset piece, saying "we're finally together."
The operative word is missing or hidden in the theme. Let us know what you come up with. I love things like this. Sorry about the brainstorming.
Spoke with my customer today and she has decided to just have a simple cake with roses that says "we're together at last". I was kinda looking forward to doing something a little more creative after reading the suggestions you guys gave, well maybe next time.
