I am struggling with a trout cookie on how to get the color realistic. I have an airbrush that currenlty is not working at all - tried that and it was a disaster. I then handpainted. They don't look as good as the perch ones I did - (see attachment photo). Does anyone have a good realistic photo of a trout cookie they have done and any suggestions for handpainted color? I am going to play with coloring the frosting tonight and see if I can swirl it more that way and add a sheen to it with luster dust or so.
Hope this link works: http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Dtrout%2Bcookie%26ei%3DUTF-8%26fr%3Dyfp-t-892&w=500&h=323&imgurl=farm3.static.flickr.com%2F2611%2F4005163309_b928898ec7.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flickr.com%2Fphotos%2Fsweetsugarbelle%2F4005163309%2F&size=88k&name=Gerald+s+Individ...&p=trout+cookie&oid=6f5b43fca8f889ae&fr2=&fusr=SweetSugarBe...&no=16&tt=212&sigr=11o6b3u98&sigi=11mc789dn&sigb=12hc88mat
I think the "belly" is too big. Belly part should be only the bottom 1/4. And the eyes really make it. Good luck!
