I am making a shopping bag and was wondering the best way to make tissue paper. Fondant or gumpaste? do i let it set up over night? Any suggestions will be greatly apprecited!!!

I would think gumpaste as it will dry harder faster than fondant would.

Roll it out real thin, arrange them how you would want them to look, but on their sides. Let dry overnight, you can also speed it up by placing them on a pan in a cold oven with the light on. Then CAREFULLY place them on your cake.

I say carefully because they'll be super brittle.

I would actually recommend making really thin gelatin sheets. I don't think they'd be quite as brittle as either gumpaste or fondant. Of course, they'd be translucent, but I think it would look pretty.
