a Black out cake Recipe? I have never had a cake like this, but it is my dad's favorite. His birthday isn't until September, but I am trying to find a good recipe to practice. TIA for any help.

It's my favorite cake too!!! There is a recipe on www.foodtv.com for Brooklyn Black Out cake and it got good reviews.

heddahope, try the one that 7yyrt posted. It's from Ebinger's Bakery and is the original Black Out Cake that became famous.

I have tried the Ebinger's recipe....TO DIE FOR!!! If you love darker choc.

7yyrt, thank you so much I tried that recipe and it was delicious!! My dad loved it.
I am gonna surprise him with one for his birthday, but I am gonna do more layers so it has some height.

Does anyone have the recipe for tira misu cake that was posted on here not too long ago. It was kind of long. I had saved it and deleted it by mistake.
