Okay, I'm a very very very big newbie icon_smile.gif BUT my neice is a HUGE Buffy fan, especially ol Spike on there (yes I HAVE watched almost every episode with her, to her delight) and her birthday is the 17th of this month, and she has BEGGED me for a cake, and I'd like to make it Buffy like...but there are NO candles, cake toppers, candies...nothing..and I KNOW I am not skilled enough to draw anything like the characters on the cake.

Do any of you have any ideas? The only thing I could think of was do a cemetary themed cake, get a tombstone cookie cutter and buy a Spike action figure and put him on top of the cake...I WISH I could do something spectacular that'd blow her mind, but I think this would make her happy!

why not do a buttercream transfer.. if you have a pic of the whole gang that would be pretty cool.

If you can find a good image of them, paste it into microsoft word, and turn it black and white. You can do a really cool sillouhette looking thing. See example below.

You could even go with wax or parchment paper. Trace it then turn it over onto the side with out the ink. Get some piping gel color it with just a light color enough to see it when you turn it onto the cake. With a small paint brush rub it over gently so that it will transfer on. Fill it with tips of your choice and add different deminsions to it. Hope this helps you. MC
