Anyone Made A Book Cake Where The Pages Actually Turn?

A friend is turning 50 and there's several sayings (12 to be exact) I'd like to use, but don't know how to incorporate them all on the same cake. I was thinking it would be cool if I used printed frosting sheets that you could actually turn and make a comic book type of cake. Would this work or would they stick together and become a big clumpy mess? Any ideas or suggestions for getting all these sayings onto the cake?
