Can someone provide me with instructions on make a 3D helmet cake? I've tried to do research but haven't found a tutorial and I am clueless as to where I should start! I have an order for a Motorcycle Sherrif's helmet and I'm worried about it!
I know that Wilton has a Sports Ball pan, which I think some helmet cakes are made from, but I've only found the 6" ones, which is smaller than what I'd like to make.
Any info and instructions would be greatly appreciated!

If you have a pyrex glass bowl you can bake the rounded top in that and use 8" rounds underneath it. Wilton does make a half ball that is bigger than the sports ball pan, but not sure if it is still being sold in stores. Do a search for helmet cakes on here and look at them.
