im in need of ideas , its my hubby's birthday in June and i want to make him a tunnel/cave cake as he loves exploring old war tunnels and smugglers caves ...
what i need is some creative help , and ideas on how you would go about making this kind of cake
t.i.a.
I wouldn't carve all the way through it, I would just carve in an inch or two at most and then cover with black fondant inside the hole to give the illusion that it's clear through!
Other than that, if you've got the wilton barbie doll pan/ wonder mold that would be a good start!
great idea , now all i have do to is keep him away from the kitchen till its done ![]()
hi,you could also make tunnels with RKT covered with fondant. i made one for my train cake...
i draped the RKT over a food can and let it dry overnight and the 'tunnel' kept its shape.
good luck - would love to see your cake when its done.
your hubby has such an interesting hobby.
