Well, a gal just recently won a million dollars at the Pillsbury bake-off using purchased pillsbury cookie dough, chocolate chips, jam & ice cream.
On URS the contestants don't use already prepared ingredients, they start from scratch, so all in all I think the prize money is well deserved.

I think it's a fair amount. With this economy $30,000.00 isn't what it use to be.
