how do i make gold and silver on my cake? is there a food paint that i get or how do you guys do it?

I think it depends on how much you need to cover, but I would suggest starting with about a teaspoon and mixing it until its "paint" consistency. If its leaving thin spots then add more luster dust. I also was told that using white rum is better to use because it smells better while working with it. Hope it works for you!
