Need To Make A Graduation Textbook Cake....help
Decorating By kimpa Updated 28 Apr 2010 , 5:25pm by honeyscakes
I am making my first Textbook cake for a Graduation party in two weeks. My plan is to make two text books with a cap on top and a fondant diploma.
Questions..how big should I make the text books (needs to serve at least 40) and how do I make the cap and mortar board.
I plan on using fondant to cover the cake over the bc.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Good luck!!! what a fun project.I made a book cake for my hubby on Father's day last year
he took it to his work and everyone thought it was a real book ![]()
For the size, I'd measure a real book and make the cake to that size, now if you need more servings, you can layer the cake and make it a fat book. or perhaps stack 2 books on top of each other and make another book sitting next to them.(just a thought)
I had so much fun making the book,it was very very easy.I think there should be a picture of that green book in my cake pictures.
If you need any help on how I covered the book with fondant etc...PM me!
All the best!!! ![]()
