I know this has been asked a million times. I am a hobby baker and only make for family and some very close friends so all my cakes are free and are given as gifts. I have a friend that found this pic and asked what a cake like this would cost to serve 150. I have no idea as I do not sell cakes and she was curious. No place around me sells cakes like this so I wouldn't even know how to go about figuring it out. Thank you all so much.

What cake sizes are you going to start with? How much is it going to cost you? About how long do you think you will be working on the cake? That is alot of fondant in the picture, do you make your own or buy it? How much is the fondant going to cost you?

I won't be making it. My friend was just curious how much a cake like this goes for. She did find a bakery about 50 miles from her that quoted her 3.00 a serving so she got her answer. Thank you though.

Wow... that's really inexpensive for a carved cake like that.

I've seen a cake similar to that sells for over $350.

With all of the carving my price would start at $3.50/serving.... and limited options on flavor and fillings.
