How Many Cake Mixes?

Is there anywhere that you guys know of on this site that suggests how many cake mixes to use for different sized pans? I'm making a 11x15 sheet cake. I'm afraid 2 mixes isn't going to be enough, but I'm thinking that 3 will be too many. Can someone please share their expertise and give me a hint? Thanks.

8x12x2= 1 mix
9x13x2=1 mix plus extender
11x15x2=2 mixes
12x18x2=3 mixes
