what is the name of the food color that you would use for a nice pink? the pink from wilton and americolor always come out more neon like for me

First rule of pink, less is best!

This works in painting rooms as well. Just an aside.

If you want the lightest pink, using Americolor, I literally get a drop out and then ever so lightly dip a toothpick in to it and add to what I'm coloring. Mix it or knead it and then decide if I need more using the above process.

Just use a plate for the drop.
