does anyone have a good cake recipe for carving, many times my cakes fall apart as i carve or ice

Hello and welcome to CC! You should check out the recipe section in here or do a search in the forums...I think pound or mud cakes are supposed to be good for carving. Are you putting the cakes in the freezer for a while before you carve?

Try adding pudding mix in your recipes--it will make it a lot denser. Many times it works, sometimes it doesn't.
