Hello everyone,

I'd appeciate if someone would give me an advice or two. I've been trying to make fondant laces by using lace molds. The fondant tend to stick to the mold even if I put some powder sugar on mold before placing fondant. Also I hardly am able to pull fondant off perfectly along with the ege of the press part... What am I doing wrong?? I read and followed the instruction that came with the mold. But I just can't figure it out to have a perfect looking lace every time..... Pleae help.

use corn starch, and lots of it. also try using gumpaste, and letting it sit in the mold for a few minutes before removing it icon_smile.gif

If the fondant/gumpaste is sticking a bit pop it in the freezer it should pop right out after about 5-10 minutes. As far as the edges go, pull off the excess fondant, then take the back off the mold and using your finger roll the jagged edge into the lace piece, place the back, back on and press again.
