Can anyone please tell me how you would go about making a strand of pearls drap around a cake like in this pic. it doesnt seem to be a mold. them seem to be individual pearls. would I make them and let them dry then apply will something?? string them??

I just made a string of pearls for a little figurine . This is how I did it:
I rolled out individual "pearls"(gumpaste/ fondant mix). Then used a needle and thread to string them together(very carefully so they don't lose their shape). When they were dry, I dusted them with pearl dust to give it a sheen. This was a necklace for the figurine I made, and would be considered inedible. If you are going to drape it on the cake I guess you can always remove them before serving. HTH.
