Need Help With Cake Idea For Three Boys Ages 2, 2, & 4

I am making a cake for a local shelter monthly to celebrate the kids' birthdays each month. For April, there are three boys, ages 2, 2 & 4, and that is all I know about them.
I'd like to do something that is generic "boy" themed, but still very cute since they are all pretty young. But I seem to be stuck on the "obvious" ideas of cars, dinosaurs and pirates... which are fine, but I'm not "in love" with those ideas.
any other ideas?
I did a very hungry caterpillar cake for my son's b-day. Very Easy and cute check it out.

My sons 2nd, 3rd, and 4th birthdays were as follows, Thomas the Tank Engine theme, Thomas again, and then a generic/more realisitc train party. There is also dinosaurs, frogs, sharks, lizards or super heroes. All things my son like at those ages.
what about three gift boxes... stack two and maybe put one on the side.. with bows and the age they are turning in the center?
Thanks for all the ideas... this helps... I am not familiar with Yo Gabba Gabba... my two girls are older now.... need to go look on the internet for them... but this gives me something to work with - much appreciated!
ooh, the sandbox idea would be really cute too....
Now I may have the opposite problem... too many good ideas! Luckily I will be making cakes for them monthly, so I can use some of these other good ideas for future cakes for them.
My 3 year old son is very much into cars, construction vehicles and monster trucks. He would definitely recognize the characters from Yo Gabba Gabba on a cake.
What about Handy Manny's tool box? You could have each of their names on a tool maybe. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05213051000P?vName=Toys%20&%20Games&cName=PretendPlay&DressUp&sName=Workshop,%20Tool%20&%20Lawn%20Care&psid=FROOGLE01&sid=IDx20070921x00003a
When he was two, it was Mickey Mouse and Thomas.
My nephew is 4 and it's Batman or Spiderman for him.
