Adding To Cake Mixes

Can i sub soda or juice for the liquid in a cake miX? Would it affect the texture and make it gumby?

Yes. There is a thread on here about a zillion different flavor combinations with WASC and it seems that's how it's done - with different flavored liquids. You might be able to do a search and find it.
