Transporting Cupcakes

How do you transport cupcakes w/o them touching each other? I know that wilton has that new carrying case, but it is $20. I do not really want to spend that much.

If I can I just pack them close together in a 9x13 or my regular carrying case, if they are top heavy or extravagent then I put the cupcakes back in the cupcake pan and decorate and transport them in that, then CAREFULLY lift then out with a long tea spoon, almost always works if Im careful.

I got the cupcake carrying case at the 1/2 price sale at Hobby Lobby just this morning.

I never even thought about putting them back in the muffin tin. That is a great idea!

I am going to Hobby Lobby tomorrow, maybe they will have one.

I use a 1/2 sheet cake box lined with that rubber shelf liner. cupcakes stay put and won't tip over if you put them rather close to each other. thumbs_up.gif

Kroger will usually sell the plastic bakery containers for .50 a piece. That is what I usually do.
