Have you ever let your batter sit out while waiting for the first cakes to finish baking? I need to make two WASC cakes tonight but my oven is only large enough for 2 cake pans and I don't want to put two on one rack and two below. Will it hurt to let the remainder of the batter sit out while the first two bake? Do I remix it before pouring it into the pans?
i do it all the time. Cover it and then give it a little stir before filling the pans.
