How Do I Get Silver?

I am making an electric guitar cake for my brother, that are a lot of metal finishes. I know there isnt a silver coloring so what do you do? Make it gray and put silver powder on it?

For me I use a silver glaze or a little vodka and silver luster dust. You can purchase premixed glaze on ebay, that is where i got mine. They work really well.

At my local cake store they have an edible silver paint. You paint it on like nail polish (it's in a bottle about the same size as nail polish). I recommend using grey fondant underneath where you want to paint.

Silver luster dust mixed with vodka painted over gray fondant Or airbrush silver airbrush medium over gray fondant.
