I am looking for a good whipped cream icing/frosting recipe. Please help. Thanks!
This is what I use.
1 tsp gelatin
2 cups whipping cream
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
2 tsp vanilla =xtract
To make the frosting

In medium bowl mix =ogether 1/4 cup cream and gelatin. Let rest for 5 minutes to soften. Then place over =arely simmering water to dissolve the gelatin. Remove the bowl from heat and =et cool to tepid. In the meantime, in mixing bowl beat remaining cream until =lightly thickened, add the sugar and vanilla and essence and beat until =onsistency of shaving cream. Fold 1/2 cup of the sweetened whipped cream into gelatin =ixture, then fold in remainder of whipped cream. Place in fridge and chill for =/2 hour.
For chocolate whipped cream..... mix 3 ounces unsweetened cocoa =owder, sifted and 3 ounces granulated sugar. Then add this to the basic cream =ixture above, while adding the conf.sugar and essence.
You can pipe =orders or rosettes with this stabilized whipped cream.
Yield : Approx 4 cups.. =nough to frost and fill a 2 layer 9-inch round cake
