The last time I made brown buttercream it took lots of food coloring (americolor) and it changed the consintecy of my IMBC, now I know AMBC would probably be easier to color b/c I'll only have to add more sugar to stiffen it, but I don't want the ABC to be sweeter than it already is... so, I was wondering if there is color powder and where to get it?
I would add chocolate, but my friend doesn't like chocolate...any advice ? please.
I find that the range and quality of powdered colors from sugarpaste.com are about the best around. They're all food grade and very pure, so you don't need to use a lot to get a deep color. They can be used in buttercream, batter, fondant, royal, etc.
