I see the link with all the tutorials for making characters and it's super great! However, I have heard that you use fondant mixed with gum paste, is that right? do you just mix the gum paste powder into the fondant?
Help, I have to have my figures done by tomorrow in order for them to dry in time, and I've never done it, LOL
Any help would be really appreciated!

Usually the gumpaste is already mixed into it's pliable form, and then it is kneaded into the fondant. I don't think it would work if you mixed it as a powder.
I always use 50/50 gumpaste/fondant mix because I have trouble getting smooth balls with just gumpaste. It makes it much easier to work with and still dries hard.
