I have just made my first batch of MMF and will be applying it to my cookies later today and then I will me adding RI details. How long after I put on the MMF can I start to do the RI? And since the RI needs to dry over night before packaging or freezing the cookies, does the MMF get to hard sitting out over night? Thanks for all the info.

I haven't used much ri, but I do lots of fondant. You should be able to do the ri almost right away. By the time you get the fondant applied to all the cookies, you can go back and do the ri on the first ones. MMF isn't really "wet".

It will be ok to leave the cookies out, the MMF will not get too hard. If the ri is dry enough, you might lay some wax paper over them. Then you can package or freeze them in the morning. Both the MMF and ri will freeze great, if you need to.
