Can someone please post instructions on "how to make the hardware for the purse such as the handles & buckles????" Also what is an extruder & does it have many uses for cake decorating?? is it worth investing in??

Extruders are a must have. I use mine all the time. I bought it in the polymer clay section at the craft store and it was less than 8 dollars. I use it on my purse cakes for the trims, as well as for borders and other stuff on my cakes.

Handles are easy to do. Just mold it out of gumpaste and lay it over a wax paper lined can, like and oatmeal can to dry. I'll look for the tutorial.
There is a picture in my photos of my last purse cake (purple one). I used a ribbon for the handle on this one.
