I am new to this too and made my first batch last week. I notice you're in the UK ... me too! I've been asked to do some cupcakes on cupcake stands for an 18th birthday party on saturday so I'm looking forward to having a go at that (but pretty nervous about it too!). It's just as a favour so there's not too much pressure really but I do want them to look as perfect as poss! I'm planning on starting them tomorrow.
Post anymore pics of cakes that you do and let's know if you find any good tips/hints to make things easier. I'm still struggling to use the flipping piping bags tbh! LOL!
