I usually make marshmallow fondant for my cakes because I prefer the taste over store bought. However, I need a fondant that dries harder than mmf. My cake store now carries the Fondarific stuff that they use on the Food Network cake challenges. Has anyone tasted this stuff? If it's actually good, I'll use that but I don't want to spend the money on it if it tastes anything like the gross Wilton fondant.
I really like the taste of Fondarific, and it is easy to work with. I like the buttercream flavor for general use. I also like Satin Ice - much cheaper but still easy to work with. My very favorite, if price is not an issue, is Massa Grischuna - the Americana is beautiful opaque white.
